Turkmen students evacuated

For the first time in many years the Turkmen government showed concern over the security of its citizens residing abroad. According to unofficial reports received from students and their parents, Turkmenistan sent in airplanes to evacuate the Turkmen students in the city of Osh, located in the south of Kyrgyzstan, where mass violence and ethnic conflict erupted on Friday night, June 10. The female students are the first to flee the country.

The Migration Service of Turkmenistan, which is charge of issuing new passports for travel abroad, keeps devising new tricks in order to hinder the procedure of issuing new passports for the country’s citizens.
